Importing a Treatment Plan

This guide walks you through importing a treatment plan template from the DrWell Marketplace and getting it ready for patient enrollment. Treatment plans in DrWell Connect start as templates — pre-built programs (medications, dosage progressions, and optional add-ons) that you import from the Marketplace, price, and then activate. Who can do this: A team member whose security role includes Marketplace access and permission to import templates (for example, an Administrator). Editing and activating the imported plan additionally requires permission to edit treatment plan templates.

Before You Start
  • Know which program you want to offer (for example, a weight-loss or wellness program) — you’ll search for it in the Marketplace by name.
  • Decide on your patient pricing. Imported plans arrive as drafts and can’t be used for enrollment until you set prices and activate them.
  • If the plan includes medications that aren’t yet in your catalog, you’ll be able to add them during the import — no separate step needed.

Step 1 — Open the Marketplace

  1. Sign in to DrWell Connect.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Marketplace.
  3. Use the search box (top right) to find a plan, or browse the available treatment plans. Treatment plan cards show the plan name, how many medications and add-ons it includes, and a badge for its billing style — Subscription or Single Use. Bundled programs carry a STACK badge.

Step 2 — (Optional) Preview the plan with Quick View

Click a plan card (or its View button) to open the Quick View panel. Here you can review:

  • The plan’s description and billing style (Subscription or Single Use)
  • The Medications tab — each medication with its dosage steps, days of supply per fill, and the recommended patient price per dosage
  • The Add-Ons tab — optional add-on medications patients can choose at checkout

Note: A Not Available badge on a plan or medication means it can’t currently be ordered from the marketplace pharmacy. Plans marked Not Available can’t be imported.

Step 3 — Click Import Plan

Click Import Plan — on the plan card, or inside Quick View. In most cases the import completes right away and you’ll see a “Treatment plan template imported” confirmation.

Two dialogs may appear first:

Missing Catalog Items. If the plan includes medications or add-ons that aren’t in your catalog yet, this dialog lists them with checkboxes. Leave an item checked to add it to your catalog along with the plan; uncheck it to leave it out (unchecked items are removed from the imported plan). Click Continue Import.

Template Already Imported. If you’ve imported this plan before, choose how to proceed:

  • Import Again — creates a separate copy. A suggested name (e.g., “Weight Loss Program (1)”) is filled in for you and can be edited.
  • Overwrite Existing — replaces one or more of your existing copies with the current marketplace version. You’ll pick which copies to replace and confirm — overwriting permanently replaces the existing template’s configuration and cannot be undone. (This option only appears if your role allows overwriting templates.)

FAQ & Troubleshooting

I don’t see the Marketplace in my sidebar. Your security role doesn’t include Marketplace access. Ask an Administrator to update your role.

The Import Plan button isn’t showing. Either your role doesn’t include permission to import templates, or the plan is currently marked Not Available in the marketplace.

I imported a plan but can’t enroll patients in it. Imported plans start as drafts. Set prices on the plan’s Billing tab, then switch it to Active on the Details tab.

A medication in the plan shows “Not Available.” That medication can’t currently be ordered from the marketplace pharmacy. You can still import the plan; check back later or contact your DrWell representative about availability.

I unchecked an item in the Missing Catalog Items dialog — can I add it back later? Unchecking removes that medication or add-on from your imported copy of the plan. To include it, re-import the plan (choose Import Again) and leave the item checked, or add the medication to the plan manually from the template editor.

What’s the difference between Import Again and Overwrite? Import Again keeps your existing copy and adds a new one under a different name. Overwrite Existing replaces your copy’s configuration with the current marketplace version — useful for picking up updates, but it permanently discards your customizations on that copy.
